Can You Put a Price on Feminism?

Hell yes, you can!

$57 million,
to be exact!

Wow. $57 million in Sex and the City's opening weekend. This is a watershed moment in feminist history.

Call it girl power, feminism, sisterly solidarity, whatever you want. It all means the same thing. We rule. Women came out in droves to see this film and to celebrate our fab four - Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha - and ourselves. How invigorating and empowering! I'm so proud to be a woman right now.

Indy turned flaccid in his second weekend as Sex and the City positively trounced him and proved that the Cosmo is mightier than the whip. These Manolos were made for walking...

This is a huge victory for women everywhere, even if you've never seen the show and don't care about the film. Please, recognize and respect this milestone. Boy, I wish Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis were around to see this. We finally won, and it feels damn good. In fact, it's better than sex.

Grab your cosmos. A toast, ladies...to us.
